Price per square metre

We price terrazzo floors per square metre (m²). The price includes labour and materials: the marble chips, the cement, laying the floor, and grinding and polishing it on site. There are three packages:

Grey or white cement?

The difference between Standard and Premium is the cement. Grey OPC cement gives a darker, natural background between the chips. White cement makes the colours of the chips look brighter and cleaner.

Signature is for a design of your own: a custom star or your logo set into the floor. Every design is different, so we price it individually after we have seen the drawing and the site.

Example: a 100 m² floor

Our minimum order is 100 m². For a floor of exactly that size, the estimate looks like this:

• Standard: 100 m² × TZS 45,000 = TZS 4,500,000
• Premium: 100 m² × TZS 65,000 = TZS 6,500,000

Before work starts you pay a 40% advance. On a Premium floor of 100 m² that is TZS 2,600,000. Payment is by bank transfer (NMB or CRDB).

These figures are estimates. The final price is set after we visit and measure the site.

What changes the price

Six things decide what your floor will cost in total:

• Area. The price is per m², so the total grows with the size of the floor. The minimum order is 100 m².
• Cement. Grey OPC cement costs TZS 45,000 per m², white cement TZS 65,000 per m².
• Pattern. In our calculator you can choose plain, star, diamond, stripes, stairs; the estimate per m² stays the same for all of them. A custom star or logo is the Signature package, priced on request.
• Marble chips. You choose the chip colours: white, pink, black. The colour choice does not change the estimate. You can order a sample tile in your colours first; you only cover the materials.
• Location and site visit. We work across Tanzania. A site visit with measurement costs TZS 10,000 – 50,000, depending on the location; for other regions we confirm it on WhatsApp.
• Delivery. Delivery of materials to the site is paid by the client.

How long it takes

About 100 m² takes 7–10 days. Terrazzo is made on site: the mix is laid, left to harden, then ground and polished, and each step needs its time. Large buildings can be done in phases, as we did at Mzumbe University.

After the floor is finished

A terrazzo floor can be ground and polished again when it gets dull, instead of being replaced. We also polish existing terrazzo floors, for TZS 5,000 – 15,000 per m².
